Saturday, Aug 25, Rotary Foundation Seminar on Oahu. Nancy Kanna and DQ Jackson have signed up for this one-day workshop. Anyone interested in learning more about the Rotary Foundation is encouraged to attend. Contact Pres Nancy for more info.
Monday, Aug 27, "Howl at the Moon" Brazilian BBQ & and Lunar Eclipse Watch. Join us at Poipu Beach Park to watch the sun go down, the moon come up, and the rarelunar eclipse. Brazilian barbeque and caipirinha (Brazil's national cocktail) will be served; BYOB. More details to follow.
Saturday, September 8 Softball Tournament Coming to Isenberg Park All the Kauai island clubs are coordinating a softball tournament. Bob Bartolo will coach Poipu Rotarians. Practice sessions are scheduled for August 30 and September 6 at Kalawai Park. Oxygen & defibrillators are optional...it's time to get in shape!
Sat - Sun Sept 22-23 Camp Naue Project Calling all campers! Another work project is scheduled to help install the new stove at Camp Naue. Other projects will be announced. This is an opportunity to do a badly needed project for the YMCA camp AND have fun and fellowship while doing it! More details will follow.
Wednesday, Sept 26 Kaua'i Plantation Railway Ride A off-site meeting is being planned at Kilohana to test drive the new Plantation Railway from 3:00-5:00 PM Wednesday, September 26. Pupus, beer, wine and sodas will be served. This would be in lieu of our breakfast meeting.
